| Commentary |
| The month of May has been characterized by a generalized good mood on the markets with major US indices stable or on the upside, while EU markets have been slightly negative. Sharp rise for the Nikkei index in Tokyo that has reached a 33-years high. Stock markets moves continue to imply a strict dependence on the next moves of major central banks that will hold monetary policy meeting in mid June. Energy prices have continued to stabilize or fall in May with easing pressures on inflation dynamics. |
